2 days Instructor-led LeadershipScrum.org assessment

Professional Agile Leadership – Essentials (PAL-E) is a two-day course for leaders, managers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and others who want to understand what leadership looks like in an agile organization.

Agility changes more than delivery practices. It affects how decisions are made, how teams are supported, how people develop, and how organizations respond to uncertainty. In this course, you will examine the conditions that help self-managing teams succeed and the role leaders play in creating and sustaining those conditions.

You will explore why agility matters, how complexity influences management approaches, and how leadership needs to shift when teams are expected to take greater ownership. The class also looks at motivation, delegation, values, organizational impediments, agile maturity, and the relationship between leadership behavior and team performance.

A further focus is measuring agility. You will consider how to evaluate progress and outcomes without reducing agility to activity metrics, and how evidence can help leaders understand whether changes are actually improving organizational performance.

PAL-E is hands-on and activity-based. Discussion, case work, and team exercises connect the concepts to situations leaders encounter when supporting Scrum Teams and organizational change. This is not an introductory Scrum course, so previous familiarity with Scrum will help you get more from the experience.

The course includes access to the Scrum.org Professional Agile Leadership I (PAL I) assessment and provides a practical foundation for leading in a way that supports learning, accountability, and greater organizational agility.
